Clio hired Bridget Mary McCormack as general manager, judiciary, and she will join the legal technology company in October, according to LawNext podcast. The podcast said McCormack would lead the market and commercial strategy for Clio’s judiciary business.

McCormack was the former chief justice of the Michigan Supreme Court and the current president and CEO of the American Arbitration Association, according to LawNext podcast. LawSites reported that she joined the American Arbitration Association in 2023 and helped lead its innovation efforts, including its adoption of generative AI. Her departure from that role was announced before Clio disclosed her appointment.

Clio had also hired Pablo Arredondo as senior vice president, judiciary, to lead product development for its judiciary initiative, according to LawNext podcast. Clio said Arredondo would lead its strategy for the courts and oversee the research, development and deployment of legal AI for the justice system. Jack Newton, Clio’s chief executive, said McCormack and Arredondo would lead the company’s expansion into the judiciary and shape what comes next for courts and legal AI.
