The 80/20 Principle published AI build guidance

The 80/20 Principle published an article on Sept. 18 saying the best use of AI at that point was not buying an app but building one. The publication said Ben Thompson and Joanna Stern compared notes on AI agents, and that the same idea kept coming up.

Zach Abramowitz wrote on Sept. 28 that he saw many new AI consultants building custom or bespoke solutions for firms. He said that direction was not necessarily a bad strategic direction, but that the incentive structure was off.
